Kajol shoots for Shah Rukh Khanâs Zero

via filmfares Every time Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have shared screen space it has been nothing short of magic. From redefining friendship in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to personifying relentless love in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the duo has given the audiences characters to swear by. From Raj and Simran to Rahul and Anjali, we just can’t get enough of their chemistry. And fortunately, we get to see them on screen once again this year.

Shah Rukh Khan started the year on a high with Zero ironically and it’s got everyone already waiting for Christmas 2018. The title announcement video gave away SRK’s look as a dwarf and we already want more. The video also gave a glimpse of how obsessive SRK’s character gets to Katrina Kaif in the film and is seen wearing a jacket with her pictures all over it.

The other star of the film is Anushka Sharma who recently starting shooting in the city for the film. While the film also has a lot of big stars making cameo appearances in the f…

“I am proud of Simran, it wasn’t the disaster that it’s being made out to be” – Hansal Mehta on life after Simran

via Bollywood Hungama Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has moved on from Simran, the controversial film with a super-controversial leading lady. Kangana Ranaut and Hansal are still in touch. “She is busy with her work I am busy with mine. But we do connect. In fact I just recommended a beautiful short story to her to read. But having said that, we’ve both moved on from Simran. I don’t think there has been a female protagonist in our cinema like the one that Kangana played. I am proud of Simran. It wasn’t the disaster that it’s being made out to be.”Hansal is equally proud of Bose Dead/Alive, “It’s been seen via streaming by more people than any other film of mine. We worked on it like a full feature film. No cutting of costs no compromises. We had a new director Pulkit while I served as a creative director. It was challenge to bring Netaji’s life to life. Rajkummar Rao gained oodles of weight in the middle of his other assignments so that he ‘d look convincing and credible…

WOW! Check out Kangana Ranaut’s grand and classic Manali bungalow

via Bollywood Hungama Kangana Ranaut has not had a great 2017. After all, her first film of the year, Rangoon, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, and co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, turned out to be a big box office disaster. Her second film Simran, directed by Hansal Mehta, seemed interesting. But the film ended up having negative vibes after she blasted Hrithik Roshan, Aditya Pancholi, Adhyayan Suman and others on the popular TV show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. The move helped her getting screen time but didn’t help the film much. Simran carried mixed reports and failed at the box office. Moreover, she got injured twice on the sets of her upcoming film Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi. But one aspect where she scored well is with her new Manali house. It’s an eight-bedroom-bungalow spread across three levels, with the staff quarters on the lower ground, the ground floor dedicated to entertainment and the first floor as Kangana’s private space. Interior designer Sha…

#2017Recap: 10 Things that happened in 2017 that the audience will not care for in 2018

via Bollywood Hungama 1. Kangana Ranaut – Hrithik Roshan controversyIt started in 2016 and had more twists and turns than an Abbas Mustan film. The controversy took a new turn this year when Hrithik Roshan, for the first time, spoke about it in front on media and what can we say! It created furor! But what was intriguing is that the entire controversy broke out right before the release of Kangana starrer Simran yet it failed to save the film’s downfall. We hope Kangana has learnt the lesson and will not repeat this in her next films! Because the audience may neither care for it nor fall for it.2. Nepotism – the word invented by Kangana in BollywoodIf the last one was timed appropriately with the release of Simran, this was timed perfectly with the release of Rangoon. Before the film, Kangana appeared for the first time on Koffee With Karan and had called the host of the show Karan Johar as the flag-bearer of nepotism. It continued when Varun Dhawan once again men…

WOW! Priyanka Chopra enacts a scene from Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

via Bollywood Hungama One of the greatest films to have come out from Bollywood is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Released in 1995, this romantic flick starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and was Aditya Chopra’s directorial debut. It gave a lot of people relationship goals. Women especially fell with the film thanks to the character of Raj, played by Shah Rukh Khan, who goes all out to win the heart of Simran, essayed by Kajol, and also of her parents. For actress Priyanka Chopra too, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge holds a special place in her heart. She revealed this when she appeared on the sets of the TV show ‘India’s Next Superstars’, hosted by blockbuster directors Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar. Everyone then expected that the romantic scenes or songs must be her favourite moments from the film. But however, she highlighted the lesser talked about sequence of Shah Rukh and Karan Johar (who was an assistant on the film and played a small role) going to Amrish Puri’s sh…

#2017Recap: Highly anticipated films of 2017 that bombed at the box office

via Bollywood Hungama Like every year, 2017 was no exception – several films which were expected to be huge grossers and high on satisfaction failed miserably. Bollywood Hungama, in this special feature lists the films that bombed at the box office. (Note: Films are listed as per their release dates).1. OK Jaanu
The Tamil original OK Kanmani was loved for its modern and progressive take on relationships. But somehow, the Hindi remake featuring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor couldn’t connect with the viewers. The chemistry was there but only till an extent. That the audiences didn’t take up to the film was reflected in its box office collections.2. Rangoon
This was one of the biggest disasters of recent times thanks to its huge cost. Despite the presence of Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut in the film’s cast and despite Vishal Bhardwaj helming the project and Sajid Nadiadwala backing it, the film just didn’t work owing to its long length, weir…

#2017theyearthatwas: When Kangana Ranaut was unapologetically sartorial and sassy!

via Bollywood Hungama The quintessential outsider, Kangana Ranaut created a stir with her unerring remarks on nepotism rampant in the Bollywood fraternity on Koffee With Karan 5. One of the very few actresses known for her stellar performances, Kangana Ranaut has carved a niche for herself with her rare streak of confidence and maturity. While her choice of roles has only got intriguing with time, her style demeanour has also undergone a major metamorphosis. Kangana Ranaut never fails to engage us with her sartorial style that is aptly complimented by her signature curls and an enviable aplomb. 2017 saw Kangana Ranaut render noteworthy performances in Rangoon and Simran, movies that evoked a tepid response. But the diva pulled off a slew of styles as she pulled all plugs to promote the two films. While infusing life into her on-screen avatars is her penchant, Kangana Ranaut’s off-screen style game instantly transforms and attains an influential and sartorial vibe,…
