Deepika Padukone – Sonam Kapoor clash again January 26: Looking back at interesting repeat clashes

via Bollywood Hungama http://ift.tt/2qBWNxl Just a shade over a decade later, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor clash again this Republic Day week with Padmavat and PadMan (never mind the all-too-interesting coincidence of the common first five letters!). They last clashed in 2007 with their respective debut films, both of which released in Diwali: Om Shanti Om and Saawariya. And what’s interesting is the interchange of filmmakers: Sanjay Leela Bhansali has long shifted his muse (Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani) to Deepika, though Sonam had also assisted him earlier to her acting debut. Deepika tried being a sportswoman like her father Prakash Padukone, while Sonam never wanted to be an actress either. And while Deepika gravitated to modeling and cinema and reached the top of the heap, Sonam has now emerged as a bankable actor who shines in content-heavy films.Trivia hunters would love the nugget that Akshay Kumar, leading man of Sonam’s 2018 release, was in a cameo in D…

Karan and Rohit Shetty will be seen as judges on "India's Next Superstars" to be aired on Star Plus from January 13 while Priyanka Chopra will be the first guest on the show. When asked if Kangana Ranaut would be invited on the show, Karan said, "I am sure when Star Plus invites her we will be happy to have her. Our heart is big, our house is open to all. We will happily, lovingly and respectfully welcome her on the show."Karan and Kangana were engaged in a war of words over a remark on "nepotism" that made headlines last year. The tagline of the show is "Na Khaandaan Na Sifaarish" and when asked whether he was looking for an opportunity to answer about nepotism, Karan said, "I don't think this tagline was an answer from my side to anyth…

TRAILERS 2018

via filmfares http://ift.tt/2zWZXuF
Padmavati, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was to be the biggest release of 2017 but due to circumstances beyond control, it didn’t see the light of day. The period film, which is a fictionalised account of the myth surrounding queen Padmini and stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, will now probably have a January 2018 release. Fingers crossed. 2018 is going to be choc-a-block with biopics. Leading the pack is PadMan, which is about the life of Arunnachalam Murganatham, who patented a low cost sanitary napkin machine. Gold, brings to life the exploits of the first hockey team of independent India. Soorma, is about hockey star Sandeep Singh’s debilitating accident and miraculous recovery. Parmanu is about India's first nuclear test, while Sanju is a based on Sanjay Dutt’s life. There is plenty for action lovers as well. There is Raid, based on a high profile IT raid, while Aiyaary introduces us to the exploits of black ops…
