Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh have come together for the first time in the larger-than-life Yash Raj Films’ project Thugs of Hindostan. The film has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and was made on a monumental budget of Rs 300 crores. Though the VFX in the film is commendable, the film has failed to create an impact. Be it the audience or the critics, both seem to be disappointed with the film’s content. After breaking box-office records on its first day of release by earning Rs 52.25 crores, the film witnessed a major dip on Friday as the collections dropped to Rs 29.25 crores.

Thugs of Hindostan

TOH continued to observe this downward curve in its collections as it earned Rs 23.50 crores on Saturday and further dropped to Rs 18 crores on Sunday. The total collections stand at Rs 123 crores at the Indian box-office but the amount of money invested in the film is too high to call it a hit anytime soon. With the audience dejected after watching the film and the critics also giving it a thumbs-down, we wait to witness a further decline in its collections over the week.
