Thugs Of Hindostan opens with big numbers

Thugs Of Hindostan is one of the biggest budget films with an impressive cast ensemble starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is set in 1795, when Hindustan was divided into rebels and the East India Company. The film may not have got great reviews but due to its Diwali release and 7000 screens worldwide, the film has managed to bag a whooping INR 29.78 crores on its opening day. The Aamir Khan film opened in 1700 more screens than his last release Dangal. Even the ticket prices were hiked.

The film uses extensive VFX and has a big budget of INR 300 crores. Thugs Of Hindostan is also the fist time Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan are sharing screen space. This is one of the many reasons it was one of the most awaited films of the year. Bachchan plays a rebel at sea, Khudabaksh, who is fighting to drive away the British. Aamir on the other hand plays a snitch, who infiltrates the thug gang on order of the British rulers.

With such a big cast and so many screens, Thugs Of Hindostan is sure to earn big despite the mixed reviews.
