Varun Dhawan comes out for a clean-up drive on World Environment Day

It was last year when Varun was in New Delhi and he spoke about the huge amount of smog in the city which was considered fog. Varun mentioned how the world needs to go eco-friendly and save environment from getting polluted. Making a difference this time again, Varun has come out in support of Juhu clean-up drive. 

Since today marks the World Environment Day, the Judwaa 2 actor stepped out for a clean-up drive to make an extra effort to clean the Juhu beach. Earlier Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar had got done biodegradable toilets at the beach and now Varun has joined in. He has come out to support the volunteer group formed by the residents of Juhu. Varun was seen doing plastic bottle crushing in the plastic bottle-crushing kiosk at Juhu beach to fight single-use plastic pollution as he appealed everyone to avoid the use of it.

Speaking about the initiative, Varun spoke, “I have spent many evening on the beach, playing cricket or enjoying gola with my friends. It pains me to see the state of affairs today. Versova beach is an example of how beaches can be cleaned if people put their mind to it. It's time to make a beginning. I want my newborn niece to play on Juhu beach, like we used to, as kids.”
