This is the title under which Salman Khanâs Bajrangi Bhaijaan will release in China

via filmfares Going by Aamir Khan starrer Dangal’s stupendous box office performance in China, the country has become a goldmine for our B-town filmmakers. So much that they are vying to release Salman Khan’s 2015 hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The movie was the highest grossing film in its year of release and now is slated to release in China.

Though Salman Khan’s fans are elated beyond words now that Bhaijaan shall hit the silver screens in the neighbouring country, the title under which it will release is ludicrous.  The film would be named as Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle!

Yup, you read it right! This is the name under which Bajrangi Bhaijaan is all set to make its Chinese debut. While Monkey God Uncle is their translation of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bhaijaan means brother, but since in the movie, Munni (Harshaali Malhotra) calls Bajrangi (Salman Khan) as mama (uncle) we understand. But what’s really bizarre is Little Lolita being incorporated in the title. It reminds us of Shakti Kapoor’s catchy dialogue ‘Lolita’ which often comes handy for comedians. The Chinese censored version is 140 minutes long and with Douban’s rating of 8.6,it has only increased the excitement among those looking forward to watching it in China.

Coming back to the film, it revolves around the beautiful bond between an Indian man and a Pakistani deaf and mute child who gets lost in India. Pavan (played by Salman), who happens to be an ardent devotee of Lord Hanuman, puts his life at stake while safely escorting the child and handing her over to her parents in her hometown across the border. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

It will be interesting to see if the film will be a bigger hit in China.
